Personal comments: Costner's attempt to revive the Western genre, amazing to see a directorial debut win 7 Oscars, among which for 'Best Director' and 'Best Picture'. The cinematography is splendid, the amazing beauty of nature is captured masterfully by Dean Semler, who won the oscar for his achievement.
