I remembered me and Panterken having this discussion not long after its release. Panterken liked it. Me, not so much.
Ps. I believe Adam Sandler is also recently having another serious movie called 'Funny People' |

I did like it very much and I liked Funny People even more. But I have a preoccupation with comedy actors doing serious roles, I also think Jim Carey's performance in Eternal Sunshine is one of the strongest roles of the last decade so, there you go. It's the sad clown cliché at work.
I do believe both Carey and Sandler were helped by their co-stars, Don Cheadle and Kate Winslet respectively to really bring out the best in them. |

As much as it's interesting to see comedic actors playing a serious role, I agree with 15TEEN here.  I find it hard to focus on a serious character knowing all his previous comedic roles before.
Like keeping DiCaprio with serious roles as that's where he belongs *cough* Inception *cough* |

Most of Leonardo DiCaprio's roles are serious characters, from action to intense drama, such as Blood Diamond, Body of Lies, Shutter Island, and well... most of his movies including his latest one 'Inception'. I think he belong to this genre. |
